Odubel Herrera Invited To Spring Training
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies former All-Star center fielder Odubel Herrera is among 31 non-roster players that were invited to spring training. Herrera will earn $10 million this year but hasn't played since 2019 when he was suspended under the league's domestic-violence policy. Other non-roster invites for the Phillies include pitchers Neftali Feliz, Brandon Kintzler, Bryan Mitchell, Ivan Nova, Hector Rondon and Michael Ynoa, catchers Christian Bethancourt and Rodolfo Duran, infielder Ronald Torreyes and outfielders Travis Jankowski and Matt Joyce. The 29-year-old Herrera played in just 39 games before he was suspended in 2019 and hit just .222/.288/.341 with a homer and 16 RBI. He had a career-high 22 home runs in 2018, but he also hit just .255 with a .730 OPS. Herrera can be ignored in the majority of fantasy formats for now.
