Jackie Bradley Jr. Still In Play For Mets
4 years agoThe New York Mets are still in play for free-agent outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr., even after the Mets signed outfielder Albert Almora Jr. to a deal over the weekend. If the designated hitter was in play again in the National League in 2021, Brandon Nimmo would likely move to left field, Dominic Smith would play first base and Pete Alonso would be the primary designated hitter. In that scenario, Bradley would still be a fit for New York. The Phillies, Cubs and Blue Jays have expressed interest in the Gold Glove outfielder this offseason. The 30-year-old slashed .283/.364/.450 in 55 games during the shortened 2020 season, but he hit only .225 in 2019 and is prone to extended hot-and-cold stretches. Because Bradley isn't guaranteed everyday playing time, he'll be more of a late-round selection with a current ADP of 358.
