Giants Interested In Jake Odorizzi
4 years agoThe San Francisco Giants have shown interest in free-agent starting pitcher Jake Odorizzi. They are interested in adding another starting pitcher before spring training after they already added Anthony DeSclafani and Alex Wood this offseason. The Phillies and Cardinals have also been connected to Odorizzi. The 30-year-old was hampered by injuries during the shortened 2020 season and made just four starts for the Twins, allowing 10 runs in 13 2/3 innings for a rough 6.59 ERA. But the right-hander made 30 starts in 2019 with Minnesota and had a 3.51 ERA. Odorizzi has posted a 3.92 career ERA in nine major league seasons. If he's healthy in 2021 and can return to his 2019 form, Odorizzi could be an absolute steal at his current average draft position (ADP) of 301. He'll be one to target with a late-round pick to round out your fantasy staff.
