4 years agoThe New York Mets continue to be engaged with free-agent starting pitcher Trevor Bauer, while the Los Angeles Dodgers remain in the mix as well, according to sources. A resolution could come soon with spring training camps set to open in two weeks. Barring the entrance of a mystery team, the Mets and Dodgers look like the finalists for the 2020 National League Cy Young winner. Bauer's agent, Rachel Luba, confirmed in a Twitter post that her client's list of suitors was down to two teams. SNY's Andy Martino is hearing that the Mets and Bauer are quite serious. New York expects the situation to be resolved one way or another within the next 24 hours or so. The right-hander is a top-five fantasy ace and will is going, on average, near the beginning of the second round of drafts after his excellent 2020 campaign with the Reds.
