Rich Hill's Market Heating Up
4 years agoThree teams have emerged as the favorites to sign free-agent left-hander Rich Hill, with the Tampa Bay Rays, Milwaukee Brewers and New York Mets all showing significant interest in the 40-year-old. The Red Sox had interest in Hill, but that was before adding starters Martin Perez and Garrett Richards. Hill had a 3.03 ERA and held opposing hitters to a .204 average in eight appearances with the Twins in 2020. The southpaw went a combined 27-14 with a 3.30 ERA from 2017-19 with the Dodgers and also excelled in the playoffs, posting a 2.43 ERA in eight starts. He's mainly looking for a team that will give him a shot to win the World Series as he enters his age-41 season. The left-hander has been productive when healthy, but age and injury concerns make him hard to trust in fantasy.
