Bradley Beal Scores 47 Points In Losing Effort
4 years agoWashington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal had another monster game in Wednesday night's loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. He scored a game-high 47 points while shooting 17-for-37 from the field, 6-for-14 from three and 7-for-7 from the line. He also had six assists, four rebounds and four steals in the game as well as three turnovers. Beal's 37 field goal attempts were a season-high, two more than he attempted in his 60-point outing against the Philadelphia 76ers earlier this month. Beal had nearly half of the Wizards' 106 points in this game and only two of his teammates - Robin Lopez and Garrison Mathews - managed more than eight points. Beal's next game will be on Friday against the Atlanta Hawks, who have played solid perimeter defense this year, allowing opponents to hit just 11.3 threes per game, the fifth-lowest mark in the league.
