Collin Sexton Drops 29 Points On Wednesday Night
4 years agoCleveland Cavaliers point guard Collin Sexton had an extremely efficient game on Wednesday night against the Detroit Pistons. He shot 10-for-14 from the field, including 1-for-1 from three, and 8-for-10 from the free throw line on the way to a game-high 29 points. He also had five rebounds, five assists and two steals as well as five turnovers. Sexton struggled over his previous two games, failing to reach 20 points in either while shooting under 40% from the field in both, so Wednesday's performance was an encouraging bounce-back. He's in the midst of a breakout year, averaging 25.2 points per game while shooting 51.7% from the field. His next game is on Friday against the New York Knicks, who have led the league in points against this year (103.8 per game) while forcing opponents to shoot just 43% from the field.
