4 years agoFree-agent designated hitter Nelson Cruz has ongoing interest from multiple teams in both the American League and National League, according to a source. Even though no decision has been made regarding the DH in the National League for 2021, NL teams are still interested in the veteran slugger. Cruz has hit .308/.394/.626 (168 OPS+) with 57 round-trippers in 173 games since the start of the 2019 season, also averaging 45 home runs per 162 games over the last seven seasons. But the 40-year-old didn't play a single game on defense in the last two years with the Twins and appeared in only nine games in the field over 2017-18. Cruz's age is a concern, but he hasn't shown many signs of slowing down and will remain a top-50 fantasy player as you look to add power to your roster.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
