Patrick Mahomes Still In Concussion Protocol
4 years agoKansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said that quarterback Patrick Mahomes (concussion) remains in the league's concussion protocol after leaving the Divisional Round win over the Browns on Sunday in the third quarter. "He's in the protocol, and we'll just follow that and see how he does here in the next couple days," Reid said. Mahomes must clear the NFL's protocol before he's eligible to play in the AFC Championship against the Bills this Sunday. More will be known on Mahomes' status throughout the week, so keep a close eye on his progress. He was also bothered by a toe injury on Sunday, but Reid thinks he'll "be alright." If Mahomes doesn't get cleared from the league's protocol in time to play against Buffalo, veteran Chad Henne would get the nod. It would be a big downgrade for the rest of KC's offensive skill position players in fantasy against a strong defense.
