4 years agoPortland Trail Blazers shooting guard C.J. McCollum was the hero of the night on Monday, hitting the game-winning shot with 9.9 seconds to go and finishing with a game-high 30 points. His great three-point shooting continued with a 5-for-11 effort and his overall record from the field was 10-for-19 with six rebounds, five assists, one steal, and zero turnovers. McCollum has been a smooth scorer for years now, but there's always been a certain level of inconsistency with his performances. He seems to have finally moved past it in 2020-21, scoring 20-plus points in every outing so far. McCollum has back-to-back 30-point efforts ahead of a juicy matchup against the Kings, who like to run the floor but can't defend well.
