Mitchell Trubisky Crumbles Against Saints
4 years agoChicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky completed 19 of 29 passes for 199 yards and one touchdown in the team's 21-9 loss to the Saints in the wild-card round. The Saints took away the Bears running game early and Trubisky simply failed to move the chains on third downs. The embattled quarterback did, however, have a perfectly thrown touchdown pass dropped by wide receiver Javon Wims in the first quarter. The Bears never recovered and Trubisky did not find the end zone until the final play of the game. Despite a promising finish to the regular season, the unrestricted free-agent's limitations as a pocket passer may hinder his chances of starting in the NFL next season for the Bears or any other team.
