Dwayne Haskins To Visit With Panthers
4 years agoFormer Washington Football Team quarterback Dwayne Haskins will leave on Sunday night to visit with the Carolina Panthers on Monday, according to sources. It will be Haskins' first visit after being waived by Washington on Dec. 28. The former first-round pick cleared waivers thanks to his $4.3 million in remaining salary that Washington will cover. Haskins' new team will likely only pay him the league minimum. Teddy Bridgewater's future is a bit up in the air after he was pulled in his last start. Head coach Matt Rhule said that Bridgewater must have a "tremendous offseason." Rhule has known Haskins since high school, and Ryan Day -- Haskins' coach at Ohio State -- coached with Rhule at Temple in 2006. The 23-year-old has been benched several times in his first few seasons and has dealt with maturity issues along the way as well. His fantasy stock has plummeted in dynasty/keeper leagues, and he'll have to rehabilitate his image on and off the field before regaining the trust of fantasy managers.
