Amari Cooper Has Ankle Surgery
4 years agoDallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper (ankle) underwent an ankle scope, according to a source. The procedure was just some postseason maintenance that will come with minimal rehab, so Cooper should be ready in plenty of time before training camp this summer. Things could've soured for the former Raider receiver when quarterback Dak Prescott (ankle) suffered a season-ending ankle injury early in the year, but he still managed to catch 92 passes for 1,114 yards and five touchdowns, putting him as the No. 17 fantasy wideout in half-point PPR formats. The 26-year-old now has three straight seasons of 1,000 yards receiving, and his 92 receptions in 2020 were a career-high. The four-time Pro Bowler can disappear at times, but he should be considered a solid WR1 heading into 2021. Getting Prescott back under center next year will only be a plus.
