Saints Still Hopeful Alvin Kamara Can Play
4 years agoThe New Orleans Saints remain hopeful that running back Alvin Kamara will be able to play in Sunday's wild-card game against the Bears after he tested positive for COVID-19 last week and was forced to miss the Week 17 win over the Panthers. Kamara is participating in live practices this week remotely, according to a source. He will need to continue to test negative to have a chance of being activated in the next couple of days. In PPR formats, Kamara was the No. 1 fantasy RB, even ahead of the NFL's leading rusher in Derrick Henry. So if he's cleared to play, Kamara will be an elite playoff weapon in fantasy. If he isn't cleared from the COVID-19 protocols by Sunday, backup Latavius Murray will become a plug-and-play DFS option.
