Michael Thomas Expected To Be Limited Wednesday
4 years agoNew Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas (ankle) is expected to be limited in practice on Wednesday and will continue to ramp up throughout the week, according to a source. Thomas went on Injured Reserve at the end of the regular season to allow his high-ankle injury to heal, and the progress has been good. The 27-year-old All-Pro had a very disappointing 2020 season after being the consensus No. 1 receiver off the board in the first round of fantasy drafts. He only managed to play in seven games, catching 40 passes for 438 yards and no touchdowns after posting a 149-1,725-9 line in 2019. It looks like Thomas should be able to come off IR and play against a tough Bears Defense on Sunday, but he'll be a risky lineup option for fantasy managers after not playing since Week 14. His ankle had some time to heal, but Thomas is unlikely to be 100 percent healthy for the postseason.
