Jarrett Allen Posts Monster Double-Double In First Start
4 years agoBrooklyn Nets center Jarrett Allen got his first start of the season and exploded for a monster double-double in a blowout victory. Allen's 19 points and 18 rebounds were season-highs, as was his superb 8 of 9 shooting from the field. Head coach Steve Nash had been weighing whether or not to start the 22-year-old over DeAndre Jordan and finally did- the results were hard to ignore. Allen has averaged 16.5 points, 14.5 rebounds, 3.0 blocks, and 2.0 steals per game in his last two contests. Fantasy managers can expect more massive stat lines if Nash indeed opts to start the young big man from here on out, which he probably should. Allen will get a Thursday matchup with the 76ers, who he produced two double-doubles against last year.
