Chase Edmonds Has Just Five Touches In Week 17
4 years agoArizona Cardinals running back Chase Edmonds had a quiet game against the Los Angeles Rams to close out the year. Edmonds rushed three times for negative three yards and caught both of his targets for 28 yards. The Cardinals offense struggled as a whole this week as backup quarterback Chris Streveler was in for most of the game following an ankle injury to Kyler Murray (ankle). Edmonds was the team's top pass-catching running back this year. He caught 53 passes for 402 yards and four touchdowns. Unfortunately, the team leaned so heavily on Kenyan Drake with their rushing game that Edmonds wasn't able to provide consistent value throughout the year. Drake is a free agent this year and if he signs elsewhere, Edmonds could be a player to watch going into 2021. He's shown the ability to flourish as a No. 1 back. It's just a question of whether the Cardinals trust him and if he can do it for a full season.
