Andrew Whitworth Won't Play Against Cardinals
4 years agoLos Angeles Rams Pro Bowl left tackle Andrew Whitworth (knee) was cleared to return to practice this week after being on Injured Reserve, but he won't play in the Week 17 regular season finale against the Cardinals. If the Rams win and advance to the postseason, Whitworth could be ready to play. The 39-year-old veteran suffered a torn MCL in Week 10 against the Seahawks and hasn't played since, but the Rams are hoping to get him back if they get into the playoffs. With quarterback Jared Goff (thumb), wide receiver Cooper Kupp (COVID-19) and running back Darrell Henderson Jr. (ankle) out this weekend, it's hard to trust anyone from LA's offense in fantasy leagues. Rookie running back Cam Akers (ankle) could also be out. The Cardinals Defense will be a popular pick to close out the season.
