Kenny Golladay Ruled Out For Season Finale
4 years agoDetroit Lions interim head coach Darrell Bevell said that wide receiver Kenny Golladay (hip) will not play in the Week 17 regular season finale against the Vikings. Heading into free agency, Golladay didn't exactly increase his stock heading into the open market after playing in just five games in 2020 due to injury. The 27-year-old third-round pick in 2017 didn't play after Week 8 against the Colts and will finish the season with 20 catches on 32 targets for 338 yards and two touchdowns. It comes after he was a Pro Bowler in 2019 with 65 catches, 1,190 yards and a league-high 11 touchdowns in 16 games. Despite his injury riddled 2020 campaign, Golladay should land big money as a No. 1 wideout in Detroit or elsewhere. Marvin Jones Jr. will continue to benefit in a good matchup against Minnesota, but he'll be a low-ceiling WR2 if quarterback Chase Daniel gets the start with Matthew Stafford (ankle, rib, thumb) ailing.
