Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins, Other WRs Expected To Return
4 years agoCleveland Browns wide receivers Jarvis Landry, Rashard Higgins, KhaDarel Hodge and Donovan Peoples-Jones, who were out in Week 16 because of COVID-19, are expected to rejoin the team once they can practice as early as Thursday. However, Cleveland continues to deal with COVID-19 issues ahead of their pivotal Week 17 game against the Steelers. Linebacker Malcolm Smith and tight end Harrison Bryant both tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, according to a source informed of the situation. Linebacker B.J. Goodson and safety Andrew Sendejo also won't be available this Sunday. While this is a situation to watch for any high-risk close contacts, the good news is the Browns should be getting their receivers out after having to use Marvin Hall as their top wideout in the loss to the Jets. Landry will be more of a low-end WR2 if he's back in a tougher matchup with Pittsburgh's secondary this weekend.
