Cooper Kupp Will Not Play Against Cardinals
4 years agoLos Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Tuesday after testing positive for the virus, according to a source. Kupp will not be available in Week 17 in a must-win game against the division-rival Cardinals. Robert Woods will be the team's top receiver against Arizona, with Josh Reynolds and rookie Van Jefferson seeing bigger roles in three-wide receiver sets. Tight ends Tyler Higbee and Gerald Everett could also see more targets. However, with quarterback Jared Goff (thumb) also out with a broken and dislocated thumb, backup John Wolford will be running this offense. While Woods and Reynolds should have expanded roles, it'll be really hard to trust any of the Rams offensive skill players in this one. The Cardinals Defense has become a must-start in Week 17. Woods will be more of a low-end WR2 to close out the year.
