Darrell Henderson Jr. Put On IR, Cam Akers Could Return
4 years agoLos Angeles Rams leading rusher Darrell Henderson Jr. (ankle) was placed on Injured Reserve on Tuesday after suffering a high-ankle sprain in the Week 16 loss to the Seahawks. Head coach Sean McVay said on Monday that "there's a possibility" that rookie Cam Akers (ankle) could play in Week 17 against the Cardinals. Henderson's placement on IR means he'll be out until the NFC Championship game, assuming the Rams even make the postseason. Akers is unlikely to be ready, which means that Malcolm Brown should lead this backfield against Arizona in the regular season finale. But with John Wolford starting for an injured Jared Goff (thumb) under center, we wouldn't recommend trusting any of the Rams offensive weapons in fantasy.
