Tytus Howard Unlikely To Play Against Bengals
4 years agoHouston Texans interim head coach Romeo Crennel said that it's "unlikely" that offensive lineman Tytus Howard (concussion) will play in Week 16 against the Bengals after suffering a concussion in the Week 15 loss to the Colts. The 24-year-old first-round pick in 2019 has started all 14 games for Houston's offensive line this year, so his absence would be a downgrade for quarterback Deshaun Watson this weekend. Even though Watson's ceiling has lowered a bit with top wideout Will Fuller V suspended through the end of the season, he should still be in play as at least a midrange QB1 despite the fact that Cincinnati's defense has allowed the fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks in the last five weeks. Update: the Texans placed Howard on Injured Reserve, ending his 2020 season.
