James Conner Could Return In Week 16
4 years agoPittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said that the team hopes to have running back James Conner (quadriceps), linebacker Vince Williams and offensive lineman Kevin Dotson (shoulder) back in Week 16 against the Colts. Conner was ruled out hours before the Monday night loss to the Bengals, allowing Benny Snell Jr. to rush for 84 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries. Williams was put on the COVID-19 list on Dec. 10 and has missed two games. With Conner questionable to face the Colts in Week 16, he's entering the week as more of an RB3/flex in an offense that has struggled to move the ball consistently during their three-game losing streak to Washington, Buffalo and Cincinnati. The Colts Defense is one of the stronger units in the league, but they've also allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to RBs in the last five weeks. Snell would be in play as a flex play again if Conner misses another game.
