Cam Newton Thinks He Has A Lot Left
4 years agoNew England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton said that he has "a lot of football left" in him after head coach Bill Belichick left open the possibility that Jarrett Stidham could see playing time for the final two regular season games with the team officially eliminated from the playoffs. The 31-year-old admitted that he needed to play better this year, but one of his goals in 2020 was to just make it through the season healthy after previously suffering shoulder and foot injuries in Carolina. Newton is 216-for-328 for 2,381 yards, five touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 13 games this year, adding 489 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on 122 carries. The former MVP has had some streaming appeal this year because of his legs, but his ceiling has been pretty low because of his lack of aerial options in New England. There's a chance that Newton has played his last snap with the Pats.
