Clyde Edwards-Helaire Could Return For Playoffs
4 years agoKansas City Chiefs rookie running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (ankle, hip) suffered ankle and hip injuries in the Week 15 win over the Saints, but X-rays came back negative, according to head coach Andy Reid. The team will know more after an MRI exam, but the early expectation is that Edwards-Helaire will miss the final two regular season games. He has a chance to return for the playoffs. It looks like fantasy managers won't have CEH for their fantasy championship matchups in Week 16 against the Falcons, giving Le'Veon Bell some solid RB2 value against Atlanta. If that's it for the 21-year-old in his first NFL season, he will finish with 181 carries for 803 yards (4.4 yards per carry) and four touchdowns while adding 36 catches for 297 yards and another score through the air. With the Chiefs currently set up for the bye in the AFC playoffs, Edwards-Helaire might have the next three weeks to heal up.
