Allen Lazard (WR, GB) - Week 16 Waiver Wire Pickups

ANALYSIS: Lazard came back to the gridiron more than a month ago now, in Week 11. Since then, he has played more and more snaps per game, raising his snap share almost on a weekly basis. That, though, hasn't entirely translated to a steady improvement in production. The good thing going Lazard's way, though, Is that his usage and efficiency on it keeps growing, which is good news for fantasy GMs rostering Lazard and those still finding him available in more than two of each three Yahoo leagues.

Lazard was targeted a post-injury-high six times last Saturday by Aaron Rodgers, catching five of those passes for 56 yards against Carolina. Given that he couldn't get into the red zone, the tally just read 10.6 PPR points but it was also the first time since W12 that Lazard hit double digits on the scoring leaderboard. Anything between 10 and 12 PPR normally ranks as a low-end WR3 in fantasy leagues, and that's what Lazard will most probably be ROS.

If you play in a standard-rules league, you're entering championship Sunday. And if you're in that position and are part of a deeper league, Lazard shouldn't be the worst of players you can add to the roster and lineup in your FLEX slot if you have a hole there.

Why? Because Green Bay has the second-sweetest of matchups in W16 facing a Titans Defense that ranks as the second-worst unit against fantasy WRs. If only to close your fantasy season, Lazard profiles as one of the bets under-the-radar bets still available in most leagues.
