Austin Hooper Returns To Practice
4 years agoCleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said that tight end Austin Hooper (neck) and cornerback Denzel Ward (calf) returned to practice on Wednesday. Both players were limited. Hooper was injured in practice last week and missed the Monday night game, while Ward has been out since Week 11. Unless he suffers a setback, Hooper should be able to return to take on the Giants on Sunday night in Week 15. Hooper doesn't have more than three receptions in a game since Week 6 against the Steelers, though, and the Giants Defense has also been pretty stingy against the position this season. Coming off an injury, Hooper will be a low-end TE2 if he's active. David Njoku, who had three catches for 45 yards last week, would see more chances once again if Hooper misses his second straight game.
