Melvin Gordon III Injures Shoulder In Week 14 Win
4 years agoDenver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon III (shoulder) injured his shoulder in the Week 14 win over the Panthers, but the severity of the injury is unknown. The 27-year-old had 13 carries on the day for 68 yards (5.2 yards per carry), and he also added three catches on three targets for an extra 23 yards. Fantasy managers will need to keep a close eye on his practice status this week to see if he has a chance to play on a shorter week this Saturday. If he cannot go, Phillip Lindsay would have RB2 upside against a Bills Defense that has allowed the 14th-most fantasy points per game to running backs through 14 weeks. Royce Freeman would also take on an expanded role on the ground. Gordon has been the team's lead back all season, but he continues to split carries almost evenly with Lindsay, making him more of a low-end RB2/high-end RB3.
