Tony Pollard Plays A Bigger Role In Week 14
4 years agoDallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard played a much bigger role than usual in Week 14, splitting touches with starter Ezekiel Elliott almost evenly. Pollard ended up running the ball 11 times for 39 yards and added two catches for nine yards and a touchdown. His touchdown came on a seven yard pass from Andy Dalton in the fourth quarter. Pollard finished the game with just one touch less than Elliott. While some of that may have been due to the calf issue that Elliott was dealing with all season, Pollard has looked like the more explosive back several times this season. He's unlikely to supplant Elliott any time soon, but he may have earned some more carries going forward.
