4 years agoWashington Football Team rookie running back Antonio Gibson (toe) has been ruled out for Week 14 against the 49ers. The impressive rookie suffered a painful case of turf toe early in the Week 13 win over the Steelers and never returned to action. Turf-toe injuries can linger, especially for running backs, so don't consider it a lock that the 22-year-old will return for Week 15. Peyton Barber and J.D. McKissic figure to split the backfield touches this weekend against San Francisco. Despite all of the Niners injuries on defense and on their defensive line, they've remained respectable at slowing down the run. Barber and McKissic will both be in the RB3/flex picture with increased workloads with Gibson out. McKissic has the higher fantasy ceiling in PPR leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
