ANALYSIS: Sure, the days of Gary Harris being a future star have passed us, but he's still a valuable player in real life, even if that doesn't always translate to fantasy production.
Harris is only 26. His career track thus far is...weird. Harris has seen drops in field goal attempts, field goal percentage, three-point percentage, assists, and points in each of the last two years, which isn't what we expected from a player whose age-23 season saw him average 17.5 points per game.
What's happened? The volume issue has partly been caused by other options on Denver getting more chances, such as Jamal Murray. Harris has spent more time at the two than the three as well, which has seemed to cause issues and lower his performance.
But Harris's ADP is so low. If his trends continue, he might not even end up exceeding the value he has right now. But late in drafts, I like to bet on talent and upside. Harris has played some very, very good basketball in the recent past. If he can get back to connecting on the similar percentages, he can be very effective, even if usage is not going to return to 2017-18 levels.
