ANALYSIS: Traded to Utah during the season, Clarkson played 42 games with the Jazz, averaging 24.7 minutes, mostly off the bench. He averaged 15.6 points per game with the team, and the only thing that he really lost from what he provided in Cleveland to start the year was assists, as he dropped from 2.4 per game to 1.6.
Clarkson will once again serve as the sixth man in Salt Lake City, a role that should provide him with plenty of opportunities, especially when playing without Donovan Mitchell. Clarkson had a 23.1 usage rate when sharing the floor with Mitchell vs a 28.7 usage rate when playing without Mitchell, and his field goal percentage rose from 40.3 in 656 minutes with Mitchell to 52 percent in 582 minutes without him.
Clarkson's going to produce, and you have the added bonus that he might really produce if Mitchell has some games where he rests or is injured.
