Phillip Lindsay Puts Up Another Dud
4 years agoDenver Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay has been dropped in most fantasy leagues as the second fiddle to Melvin Gordon III in Denver's backfield. Lindsay saw double-digit carries (14) for just the third time this year in the Sunday night loss to the division-rival Chiefs, but he totaled only 26 rushing yards (1.86 yards per tote) and failed to haul in his only target in the passing game. The 26-year-old looked a little hesitant running the football after suffering a knee injury in the Week 12 loss to the Saints. The Broncos should continue to lean on their ground attack in order to take pressure off of struggling quarterback Drew Lock, but Lindsay has little upside as an RB3/flex at this point, especially in PPR leagues since he's caught only two passes all season. The Panthers, the team's Week 14 opponent, have been vulnerable on the ground, but you should be able to find better flex options in the first round of the fantasy playoffs.
