4 years agoUpdating a previous report, Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey (shoulder) will not play in Week 10 against the division-rival Buccaneers, according to a league source. McCaffrey is going for a second opinion on the shoulder that he injured late in the Week 9 loss to the Chiefs, but it looks like he won't play this weekend. It's a tough break for fantasy managers that just got him back after he missed six weeks with a high-ankle sprain. Mike Davis, who filled in admirably for McCaffrey when he was on Injured Reserve, will step back into a workhorse role in the backfield and will have RB2 upside on Sunday. The Bucs have been one of the better defenses at slowing down the run, though, so perhaps temper your expectations for Davis.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
