Odell Beckham Jr. Has Successful Knee Surgery
4 years agoCleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (knee) had successful surgery to fix his torn ACL on Tuesday in Florida. The Browns said in a statement that Beckham's surgery was performed by Dr. James Andrews and that OBJ is expected to be ready for the 2021 season. His second season with Cleveland ended against Cincinnati in Week 7. Beckham finished the year with 23 catches for 319 yards and three touchdowns in seven games. He also added a rushing touchdown on a run. Jarvis Landry will be the club's No. 1 receiver the rest of the way, with tight end Austin Hooper and pass-catching running back Kareem Hunt also benefitting from more targets through the air. Injuries and inconsistency in his first two seasons with the Browns has made Beckham more of a WR2 instead of the elite WR1 he was back when he was with the Giants and quarterback Eli Manning.
