Packers Hopeful That Aaron Jones Will Play Thursday
4 years agoThe Green Bay Packers are hopeful that running back Aaron Jones (calf) will play on Thursday night against the 49ers, although it might be a limited role for Jones, according to sources. Jones will test his leg in pre-game warmups and if he is 100 percent with no chance of re-injury, he will be active. The 25-year-old is questionable after missing the last two games, and the Packers will play it safe with the RB1 if he's active, making him a shaky RB3/flex if he winds up playing in a limited role against San Francisco. Even if Jones is active, Tyler Ervin and practice-squad running back Dexter Williams could have bigger workloads Thursday.
