Packers Defense To Be Short-Handed In Secondary
4 years agoGreen Bay Packers cornerback Kevin King (quadriceps) and safeties Will Redmond (shoulder) and Vernon Scott (shoulder) have been ruled out for Thursday night against the 49ers. Safety Raven Greene (oblique) is also questionable to play. The good news for the Packers Defense is that they're taking on an equally banged-up 49ers offense that will be missing quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle), tight end George Kittle (foot) and wide receiver Deebo Samuel (hamstring). The Packers defense ranks just 23rd in the NFL in overall fantasy points through eight weeks, but they could be an effective bye-week replacement against backup QB Nick Mullens and company.
