Duke Johnson To See More Work Under Romeo Crennel?
4 years agoHouston Texans interim head coach Romeo Crennel said that running back Duke Johnson could see a bigger role moving forward. "We know what Duke brings to the table, we like what Duke brings to the table. Next week, Duke might be the guy who shows up more in the receiving game and running game as well," Crennel said. That didn't happen in the Week 5 win over the Jaguars, as Johnson ran the ball three times for eight yards and caught his only target for 11 yards. Unless the 27-year-old actually starts seeing more touches in this offense, he's not even a viable flex option in PPR leagues. Johnson hasn't seen more than four targets in the three games he's been active for this year. In deeper non-PPR leagues, he's strictly a handcuff for David Johnson owners.
