Noah Fant Ruled Out For Week 5
4 years agoDenver Broncos tight end Noah Fant (ankle) missed practice all week and has been ruled out for the Monday night contest against the Patriots in Week 5. Fant scored in each of the first two weeks but has seen his yardage total drop in each consecutive week. However, he's been targeted 27 times in four games, catching 19 of them for 219 yards and the two touchdowns, so he's been the team's most consistent pass-catcher with Courtland Sutton (knee) done for the season. Jake Butt will likely replace him as the No. 1 tight end on Monday night, but expect Denver to lean heavily on wideouts Jerry Jeudy and Tim Patrick and the running game. When healthy with quarterback Drew Lock (shoulder) under center, Fant will have TE1 upside this year.
