Jason Peters Placed On Injured Reserve
4 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles left tackle Jason Peters (foot) was placed on Injured Reserve on Saturday. A source said that Peters developed toe discomfort during the week. It's another blow to an injury ravaged team that also lost Brandon Brooks and Andre Dillard along the offensive line. Lane Johnson is dealing with a high ankle sprain that needed surgery over the summer, but he's expected to play Sunday night against the 49ers. Jordan Mailata, Matt Pryor and Jack Driscoll are the options in play to replace Peters on quarterback Carson Wentz's blind side. Philly will be using their fourth offensive line combination in four games. It's another reason to fade Wentz in single-QB leagues this week, while the 49ers Defense remains a strong option for fantasy managers despite not having All-Pro pass-rusher Nick Bosa for the rest of the year.
