K.J. Hamler Not Fantasy Viable Just Yet
4 years agoDenver Broncos rookie wide receiver K.J. Hamler has a healthy 12 targets in his first two NFL games, but he's caught just six passes for 78 yards, including only three catches for 30 yards in the Week 3 loss to the Buccaneers. There's a lot to like long term about this speedy big-play 21-year-old, but fantasy managers will need to be patient with him in dynasty/keeper leagues. There's no real fantasy appeal in redraft leagues just yet with Hamler, at least until quarterback Drew Lock (shoulder) returns to the mix. With Brett Rypien making his first career start against the Jets on Thursday, you can do better than Hamler in deep leagues.
