Melvin Gordon III Scores Touchdown In Broncos Debut
4 years agoDenver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon III had 15 carries for 78 yards and a touchdown in Monday night's 16-14 loss to the Titans, including a costly lost fumble early in the first half. He also added three catches on three targets for eight yards in the passing game. Gordon looked refreshed and had some burst in his debut with the Broncos, but he was sharing touches pretty evenly in the first half until Phillip Lindsay went down with a foot injury. Gordon dominated touches in the second half, but as long as Lindsay remains in the picture, Gordon will be more of a low-end RB2 that's touchdown-dependent. Gordon's upside will be higher if Lindsay misses any time, so keep an eye on his status heading into Week 2 against Pittsburgh.
