Drew Lock Says Offense Has Been Clicking
4 years agoDenver Broncos quarterback Drew Lock said something clicked for him and the offense over the final week of training camp practices. Denver's offense could benefit from an element of surprise on Monday night against the Titans, as no teams have film of offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur's new offense. Lock said he's far more comfortable heading into the season opener this year after getting some valuable starting experience in his rookie campaign. It won't hurt that the 23-year-old from Missouri will have more weapons in rookies Jerry Jeudy and K.J. Hamler and running back Melvin Gordon III. The offensive line remains a big question, but Lock has all the necessary weapons in place to make a second-year leap. Fantasy owners want to see it to believe it first, though, as he wasn't even drafted as a QB2 in most standard single-QB leagues.
