Von Miller's MRI Shows Season-Ending Tendon Injury
4 years agoUpdating a previous report, Denver Broncos pass-rusher Von Miller's (ankle) MRI exam showed a season-ending tendon injury to his ankle. Miller tore a ligament in his ankle during practice on Tuesday, and the initial fear was that it would be season-ending. He will meet with foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson on Thursday for a second opinion, but all indications are that the Broncos Defense will be without their best player for the 2020 campaign. The 31-year-old is expected to need surgery on his ankle. The Broncos were looking forward to Miller having a better year in his second season under defensive-minded head coach Vic Fangio, as well as teaming up with Bradley Chubb to form a dangerous pass-rushing unit. Denver's D could still be formidable based on the matchups, but losing Miller doesn't make them as attractive as a starting fantasy unit on a weekly basis.
