Jadeveon Clowney Expected To Sign With Titans
4 years agoThe Tennessee Titans are expected to sign defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, according to sources. Clowney will be rejoining Mike Vrabel, who was on the Texans defensive staff for Clowney's first three years in the league. The Saints made a strong case to land the pass-rusher, but he ultimately decided to go with Tennessee. The seventh-year professional had his best year under Vrabel in Houston in 2017, posting career-highs in sacks (9.5), tackles for loss (21) and QB hits (21). Clowney has never posted double-digit sacks in a single season and has a long injury history, but when healthy, he can be a game-wrecker and will certainly make the Titans Defense more of a force. They'll be worth considering as a bye-week replacement early in 2020.
