J.D. McKissic 2020 Outlook: The New Third Down Guy In D.C.?
4 years agoWashington Football Team running back J.D. McKissic could have the best season of his career in 2020 in terms of opportunity and production. McKissic seems set to take on the role of third down/pass-catching back in the Washington offense. Rookie Antonio Gibson and Bryce Love will mix in with Peyton Barber on earlier downs, with McKissic and Gibson likely taking passing work. With the team expected to be behind in quite a few of their games, McKissic could get plenty of work, especially if the offense starts using Gibson as more of a "Swiss army knife" in the slot and other formations. McKissic is a low risk, high reward option in PPR formats.
