4 years agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Michael Fulmer (elbow) said that he's ready to pitch out of the team's starting rotation to begin the regular season. Detroit just placed Jordan Zimmermann (forearm) on the 45-day injured list and Daniel Norris might not be ready for Opening Day, so the Tigers are going to need innings from Fulmer during the shortened season. The 27-year-old right-hander was the American League Rookie of the Year in 2016 and was an All-Star in 2017, but he struggled in 2018 and missed all of 2019 with an injury. Fulmer has struck out only seven hitters per nine innings in his 75 starts, and fantasy owners in mixed leagues should wait and see if he can return to his 2017 form before adding him to their rosters.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
