Cristian Pache Expected To Miss A Few Weeks
4 years agoAtlanta Braves outfield prospect Cristian Pache (ankle) is dealing with an ankle sprain between Grade 1 and 2 and is expected to be sidelined for a few weeks. It's not a serious injury, but the Braves will be cautious with their top center field prospect. Per MLB Pipeline, Pache is the club's No. 1 prospect. He has returned to the team's satellite camp in Gwinnett. The 21-year-old Dominican product hit .277/.340/.462 with 12 home runs, 61 RBI, 63 runs scored and eight stolen bases in 130 games with Double-A Mississippi and Triple-A Gwinnett last season. There's a better chance that he'll make his debut in 2020 now that the deal with Yasiel Puig fell through, but Pache still remains a much more attractive dynasty/keeper asset during the shortened season.
