Kyle Nicolas Signs With Marlins
4 years agoThe Miami Marlins agreed to terms with their second-round pick, right-handed pitcher Kyle Nicolas, on Wednesday. Nicolas signed for $1,129,700, which is full slot value. The righty from Ball State has hit 100 mph in shorter stints and features a power slider as well. He still needs to develop a bit and showed good signs this spring by throwing more strikes. He could be a lights-out reliever, but the Marlins are sure to try him as a starter first.
